Why this is a priority: Educators currently use CBM measures, to teach spelling, rather than focusing on a phonics-based scope and sequence. Priority 2: Classroom teachers will be trained and will implement Tier 2 interventions within their classrooms to all students as needed. Why this is a priority: Educators have a lack of training to implement effective Tier 2 interventions in the classroom as professional development in this area was not available to all educators. |
3. Empower to LeadPriority 1: Haxtun School District will develop a plan to provide greater opportunities for students and prepare for the future including: teacher recruitment/retention and short and long term plans for infrastructure.
